The Mattabasset Owners Association has been alerted of a bear sighting on Mattabasset property in recent weeks. A fox was also seen at the stream at the entrance last week.
Please be alert as you are walking around Mattabasset, especially with pets. For information on how to "Be Bear Aware" please visit the State of Connecticut DEEP website. This website includes an online form for reporting a black bear sighting.
Residents are reminded that bird feeders are not allowed and that garbage cans should not be left outside until the day of collection.
